Jordan Sandlin is a soon-to-be Charleston based artist and crafter. She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama, where she studied printmaking and painting. After graduating college, she moved to Atlanta and pursued work as a display artist at Anthropologie. In 2007, she became interested in the resurgence of modern crafting and started a side-project called fattycakes handmade. In 2011 she became the Showroom Merchandising Coordinator for an Atlanta tile distributor managing merchandising aspects for 4 high-end tile showrooms across the Southeast. She lives with her husband Jeff (an archaeologist) and their daughter Elem, in a 1959 mid-century modern split-level tucked in a wooded neighborhood called Northcrest. She enjoys nostalgia, mid-century modern design, renovation, do-it-yourself projects, making things, driving their 1960 Plymouth Valiant, and is always on the look out for the next great junk or vintage shop.
